How do you make Candy Apples?

I love apple and now that I'm pregnant I crave sweets :). I want to make the Candy apples dipped in chocolate with nuts and sprinkles on the outside and the ones dipped in caramel and chocolate with peanuts on the outside. I would be using gala, red delicious, and pink lady. I need the recipe please. Ten points for best answer
