If earwigs can't get to brain through ear, what about nose? Found one in syringe when suctioning baby's nose.?

My baby was really stuffy, hardly able to breathe when I would lay him down at night. Not like normal stuffiness, more like he couldn't remember how to breathe. I panicked when I saw the earwig coming out of the syringe after suctioning his nose. Not sure if it was in syringe or in his nose, but he is breathing fine now.
