Marine Corps Officer gun selection?

In the Army, i know that the officers get first dibs on what weapon/weapon accessories (EOTECH scope, A-COG scope, Etc.).... Does that happen in the marine corps? is the 2nd LT able to choose whatever weapon he wants if he is an Infantry Officer?
