Does anybody use a dust mite mattress or pillow cover? Please help!?

There are covers out there that are more like a soft cloth than the plastic that you're experiencing: My mother got one while she still had a dog that slept on the bed. I forget which brand it was, but I'm pretty sure she got it at Wal-Mart or Costco.
